Kyrie Irving Says There's "More To The Story" When It Comes To Him Wanting To Stay With The Brooklyn Nets: "I'll Have My Time To Address Things"

There is no end to the news on the Kyrie Irving front, things are becoming public at a rapid rate as the date for him to pick up his player option or decline it comes closer. Irving is now reportedly looking for sign-and-trades for himself but according to Adrian Wojnarowski, only the Lakers have shown real interest in the star point guard so far

Irving had a moment at the BET awards where he was asked on the red carpet about whether he still wishes to be with the Brooklyn Nets. He laughed and dodged the question, taking it lightly, but after there was some speculation about what his reaction meant, Irving elaborated on it in Instagram comments saying he would address his side of things at the right time.

"Welcome to the 'New Media'. When I smile like that, it means there’s more to the story. I’ll have my time to address things."

The Nets have made their feelings apparent throughout this process, team owner Joe Tsai is reportedly backing the stance the organization has taken on not caving and giving Kyrie the max contract he is seemingly looking for. However, while Irving himself had only shared some cryptic posts on social media before this, it does seem like he has a lot to say about the situation.

It's unlikely to serve him to share the details of what is happening when he is looking for another team to take a chance on him, so if he does move away and get a max contract elsewhere, then we'll be able to hear his side of the story. However this saga ends up resolving itself, it has certainly created a lot of drama that was perhaps not expected this early in the offseason.
