Los Angeles Lakers fans were livid with team owner Jeanie Buss and GM Rob Pelinka after the team lost to the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night at the Crypto.com Arena.

The Lakers and Anthony Davis are now languishing close to the bottom. They enter a tough away stretch playing the Dallas Mavericks on Christmas Day, but given the team’s run, fans blamed the front office for putting in a subpar roster and wasting the veteran’s best final years.

Soon after the 134-130 loss against a team that had lost nine of their last 10 games, an image of LeBron James sitting dejectedly on the floor went viral on social media, and that was further fuel to take shots at Buss and Pelinka.

James has been on a tear averaging 32.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 8.2 assists in his last five games. The star has been dishing out consistent performances, but it hasn’t been enough to help his side close out winning games.

Los Angeles Lakers Fans Slam Jeanie Buss And Rob Pelinka

The Lakers roster for the 2022-23 season has been the topic of discussion since the offseason, and the side has been looking for massive upgrades to help the superstar duo of James and Davis win another title.

That said, LA will also need another solid support for James, given the big man’s indefinite break following the stress fracture he sustained earlier this month. On the other end, Lakers fandom was relentless.

We’re never gonna be able to attract generational stars again after this LeBron stint. Everyone is gonna remember how the Lakers missed the playoffs 3 times with the LeBron James on the roster after he made the finals every year straight for a goddamn decade

He won’t get fired because the Buss family love him too much which is just as terrible

Gotta thank Pelinka and Buss for running this franchise down to the ground and wasting LeBron’s final years in the league. With all due disrespect, they can both go to hell.

They’re in hiding. When is the last time they showed their faces at a game?

Imagine having lebron and AD both playing great basketball and yet the team is only 13th in the conference. Thanks Rob

Don’t wanna trade picks. Don’t wanna bring back long term salary. Writings on the wall, at best they are punting the season and at worst they are blowing up this core in the summer.

I mean we did this already with Kobe so why not with Lebron

It’s because of Kobe he keep getting chances hell that’s the only reason he got hired

This is a real issue. Lakers are going to be remembered more for their failures than for the one title and Lebron breaking the scoring record with them.

They’re going to blow up this roster and go straight to the g league for replacements

At the time of writing, the Lakers are placed 13th in a stacked Western Conference. With the trade window open, the side will look to add more reinforcements if they intend to stake their claim for the playoff and beyond.
