In just his second season as aa Laaker, at 35-years-old, LeBron James has just won his fourth NBA Championship. Even more impressive, he won the Finals MVP award as well, despite playing alongside one of the best bigs in the game.
LeBron is the first star to win Finals MVP with three different teams and the oldest Finals MVP ever. With this win, he's also No. 2 All-Time in playoff series won and the first player to every lead three different teams to a Championship.
LeBron also issued a message to the spectators, demanding they put some more respect on his name.
Obviously, LeBron already had a place in the history books. But this win now, with this team, really solidifies his claim as the GOAT. And, whether or not you're ready to buy into that claim, his case now is stronger than it's ever been.
At the very least, the dude deserves some respect. He won in the West when people doubted he could. He won at 35-years-old, despite many saying he couldn't. And he won surrounded by enemies around every corner.
He overcame and he came out victorious. He'll be sleeping well tonight.
