LeBron James’ slow start to his 20th season in the NBA had his doubters come out in full force. It appeared that James was finally no longer the dominant force he had been for much of his career but just as he has done throughout his time in the league, James silenced his doubters once again.

The Los Angeles Lakers seemed doomed when Anthony Davis suffered a foot injury in December but James has helped them stay afloat without his co-star. The Lakers are 9-7 in the 16 games that he has played since Davis went down and LeBron has been especially dominant since he turned 38 years old during this stretch.

In the 10 games he has played since turning 38, James is averaging 35.1 PPG, 9.6 RPG, and 7.9 APG while shooting 53.0% from the field. What is also amazing, is that LeBron is getting the job done when it matters most as well, as his 323 points in the fourth quarter lead the NBA. It is remarkable just how well he is playing at this stage of his career and we should appreciate him as long as he is still playing at a high level. We’ll probably never see something like this ever again but even as great as LeBron has been, he knows that the Lakers need Davis back on the court if they are to achieve anything of note this season.

LeBron James Spoke On Anthony Davis’ Return

Davis has been on the sidelines for over a month now but he is finally set to return to the court this week. Head coach Darvin Ham gave quite a positive update on his status recently, as he stated that AD looked phenomenal when going through a full-contact scrimmage on Saturday.

LeBron was asked about Davis’ return after their impressive comeback win over Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers but he didn’t want to get too excited. LeBron stated that he wants Davis to take as much time as he needs to get fully healthy and when AD is ready to get back on the court, he will get excited.
