There has been a running gag on Inside the NBA for quite a while now, with a host of people racing an often unsuspecting Kenny Smith to the giant board. Shaquille O’Neal, Ernie Johnson, Jose Alvarado, and even the camera crew have had some fun at the expense of the JET over time but Charles Barkley hadn’t quite managed to get the better of him so far. Chuck had one failed attempt last month but he was certainly determined to eventually get the better of his long-time colleague, so did he finally manage to do it on the last show? Have a look for yourself!

On close inspection, we’d give the slight edge to Sir Charles here and Twitter, in general, seems to agree with us here! Also in that Twitter pack, is a certain LeBron James who tweeted out that Barkley was the winner for him as well!

LeBron has had issues with Barkley in the past over comments the Chuckster has made on the show regarding super teams and a host of other topics but it does seem like those days are thankfully behind us. Chuck even poked some fun at the King earlier in these playoffs, as he urged LeBron to join them on the set for the playoffs as he had nothing better to do anyway!

It is a rare occurrence that the King has missed the playoffs and LeBron has been quite active on social media in these playoffs, He has tweeted how much he misses being involved in the action and it would be great if he does actually come on the show at some point. Draymond Green was a great addition to the crew when he was on and we have no doubt that it would only get better with the King in the building!

His passion for the sport was ignited after witnessing the high-octane offense of the Steve Nash-led Phoenix Suns. Among the Suns, Shawn Marion stood out to Gautam as an all-time underrated NBA player. Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
