LeBron James has already done incredible things in the NBA, and he’s not finished yet. The King is still aspiring to win one or more championships despite his age, and the next season could present a huge opportunity to him.
James and co. are ready to fight back and prove that they are far away from being done. In addition, he’s already working towards his goals after his NBA career is over. It’s not a secret that Bron wants to team up with his first son Bronny in the association, but after that, nobody really knows what’s next for him.
Well, it seems like he’s aspiring to do what other former athletes have done and buy a professional sports team. Of course, James wants to buy an NBA franchise after becoming a part-owner of Premier League’s Liverpool, MLB’s Boston Red Sox, and NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins.
In a new teaser of The Shop’s season 5 episode 4, LBJ talks about his plans for the future, admitting that he wants to become the owner of a team, but not just any team. He wants to buy a franchise or create it in Las Vegas.

“I wanna own a team. Yeah, I wanna buy a team for sure. I would much rather own a team before I talk,” James says in a clip posted to social media. “I wanna- yeah, I want a team in Vegas. I want the team in Vegas.”
Ever since he was young, the 4x NBA champion had big ambitions. Now that he’s one of the greatest players to ever do it, he’s looking for more, and buying a team is something he’s been wanting to do for a long time now.
A couple of months ago, Bill Simmons claimed that the NBA will expand to Las Vegas and Seattle in the future. He also said that LeBron would be involved in the group that takes the Las Vegas franchise, and now these words make more sense. These two cities are expected to get the next two teams in the association, but we have to wait and see how the situation develops.
2024 could be a big year for the league, and perhaps for LeBron James, too.
