LeBron James Will Have Played With Shaquille O’Neal As Well As His Son If Shareef O’Neal Can Make The Lakers Roster

LeBron James may not have reached Michael Jordan’s level yet in the eyes of many, but the King is clear of the GOAT when it comes to longevity. About to enter his 20th season in the NBA, LeBron is showing no signs of slowing down just yet, nearly winning the scoring title last season at the age of 37.

During his time in the league, James has played with numerous players as a part of the various organizations he has played for. Hundreds of role players have been on his teams throughout his years in the NBA and he has played with a few superstars as well. Dwyane Wade, Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, he’s played with a lot of these players in our around their prime and won championships with all of them.

But one superstar that he played with that was well past his prime was Shaquille O’Neal, towards the end of his career on the Cleveland Cavaliers. And while that may not have been a memorable team by any stretch of the imagination, playing with Shaq means there is a unique testament to Bron’s longevity that could occur this season.

Shareef O’Neal, Shaq’s son, will join the Los Angeles Lakers Summer League team in hopes of getting picked up by the team. And if he can prove himself and be a part of the roster next season, LeBron will have played with both the father and the son.

There’s no guarantee that the younger O’Neal will make it to the actual roster, but this opportunity might allow him to hone his game even further and give his NBA career a real jumpstart. If he can play alongside LeBron James, that would be massive for him as well, and LBJ, who wants to play with his son Bronny as well, will have the distinction of having played with both Shaq and his son.
