The New Orleans Pelicans are on a 7-game winning streak and, after beating the Phoenix Suns twice in a row, find themselves in possession of the Western Conference’s first seed. The Pelicans have been performing at a high level, even without the presence of Brandon Ingram, which goes to show just how deep the team is. But their main star is undoubtedly none other than Zion Williamson.

Zion Williamson‘s name has started creeping into MVP conversations, and his teammate C.J. McCollum was quick to throw it into the discussions. Williamson is playing well, but he is also playing with a point to prove, as seen after his windmill dunk against the Phoenix Suns in their first win. And while MVP might be a bit of a stretch at the moment, fans still think what Zion has been doing is very impressive.

NBA Fans Discuss Where Zion Williamson Should Be Ranked This Season

Ranking players in the NBA can be tricky, considering how much changes within even a week, but fans still like to do it anyway. Jayson Tatum, Luka Doncic, and Giannis Antetokounmpo have consistently been rated highly, but a few are now starting to join their ranks. Anthony Davis’ season has been drawing a lot of praise, and now Zion Williamson has earned some consideration. Here’s where NBA fans think he should rank in the conversations.

“Top 10 in the league.”

“Top 5.”

“Top 10 and climbing.”

“Zion is right at the top of the league right now.”

“Maybe some are better but Zion is Top 5 easily this season.”

“Gotta say Top 15 or higher. he’s playing like Top 10 rn but i want to see him keep it up.”

“Zion is Top 3 in the league for me right now, only Luka and Giannis better.”

“I mean you tell me lol he’s avg 28 pts 64% from the Field.”

“Respectfully he’s top top 5-6 in the league.”

“15 for sure, 10 maybe.”

“Top 5 Player in the League.”

In the 7 games that the Pelicans have won consecutively, Williamson is averaging 30 points to go along with 9 rebounds and over 5 assists per game. His all-around impact has been immense, Zion is even becoming a big factor on defense. If he can keep this performance up for the rest of the season, the Pelicans could become real contenders, and Zion might even become the MVP.
