The Brooklyn Nets made it 11 wins in their last 12 games after crushing the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night but Friday brought one of their toughest games in this stretch, as they took on the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks boasted the best record in the NBA and had won 7 of their last 10 prior to this game, to get to the top.

The only loss for the Nets in this run had come to the second-seeded Boston Celtics and they were keen to show here that they weren’t just pretenders who were beating up on bad teams. The Nets crushed the Bucks 118-100 thanks to a balanced scoring effort that saw all of their starters hit double-digits for points, and Kevin Durant led the way with 24 points. Fans were highly impressed by the Nets who are looking like a big threat at the moment.

“WE ARE THE 2023 NBA CHAMPS”

“The energy is shifting”

“Nets are back”

“Jacque Vaughn coach of the year!!!”

“Statement win. “

“Nah They Scary Now”

“Nash really held this team back man ‍♂️”

“KD and the gang hot “

“8 WINS IN A ROW “

“Rest of league realizing nets are back!”

“Better not hear bucks fans say we didn’t have Middleton because that’s just ironic “

“I love the momentum of the team.”

“Big game from Royce and claxton”

“NETS CAN’T BEAT A TOP SEED”, “NETS BEEN BEATING BUMS AND INJURED TEAMS”

“Nets back-to-back Ws against big teams.”

“Nets own the bucks”

“CONTENDERS NOT PRETENDERS”

“What the fu** are the haters are gonna say now we beat the best team in the league”

The Bucks, who were down by as many as 23 points, had managed to trim the deficit to 10 in the fourth quarter but some big shots from Kyrie Irving and Royce O’Neale meant the Nets kept them at arm’s length. They have got another Eastern Conference heavyweight in the Cavaliers in their next game and the way they are playing, you would fancy their chances at winning that one too.

Kevin Durant Had A Message For Those Who Doubt The Nets

Considering how the Nets flamed out in the playoffs last season, there are still those who would have their doubts about how far this team can go. Durant recently stated that the Nets are taken for granted, especially himself and Kyrie, adding that it takes a lot for people to be impressed by them.

This win would have certainly given their doubters some food for thought. The Nets look great at the moment and if they are able to acquire another big man at some point to address their rebounding issues, they will be a real headache for anybody to deal with in the postseason.
