Kevin Durant has been very active recently, especially with reporters, as he keeps replying to big questions NBA fans might have. The 2x NBA champion isn’t holding anything back right now, and whenever he speaks, everybody listens.

In recent interviews, he talked about his reaction to the Golden State Warriors winning the 2022 NBA championship, the way he’s managed himself during his career, and more. KD has spoken with many reporters recently and even touched on the Brooklyn Nets-New York Knicks rivalry.

This isn’t the end of this, and he keeps sharing his thoughts on his team and how people perceive it. KD is well aware that the Nets have become the villains of the NBA in several ways, but he’s embracing that and even using it as motivation.

Kevin Durant Is Set To Prove Doubters Wrong

Talking with Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports, Durant sent a message to those who want to see the Nets fail. He admits that many people don’t think the Nets can win the championship with their current roster, but he doesn’t pay much attention to that. Durant knows that they’re capable of doing big things no matter who’s in front of them.

“I get that other people don’t look at our roster as a championship roster, but when we get wins the way we get wins, you gotta pay attention to that,” Durant told Yahoo Sports. “When Kai [Kyrie Irving] and Ben [Simmons] didn’t play, we beat teams by [nearly] 40 points. Any other team, it’s, ‘Hold on, what they doing over there?’

“They take us for granted, me and Kai especially. We gotta jump through a Hula-Hoop of fire to be impressed.”

The Nets remain a big question mark this season, especially after all the drama surrounding them in the early stages of the campaign. They need to show that they can win a title after several years of trying without success. Everybody seems to be locked in right now, but only time will tell how this situation develops.
