Trae Young’s name has become a big thing in the NBA in recent weeks, as the player has been in controversies with his team and head coach. What started as a terrific partnership could end up being a nightmare for Trae and the Hawks.

The young point guard is still a very talented player, but it seems like his ego is taking over in recent times. It all started when Trae missed a game for the Hawks after starring in a heated moment with head coach Nate McMillan, who didn’t hesitate to take him out at least for one game.

After that situation took place, many reports came out suggesting that Trae is not the most beloved player on the team, and some players would even pick McMillan over Young if they had to decide.

Trae Young Might Be Out Of Atlanta Hawks

More recently, it’s been reported that Trae really has issues within the team, and several people, including the head coach and some players, don’t like him. This is always bad, considering that Young is the star of the team, and if he’s not somebody people will look up to, then everything is bad.

According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, this situation could be too much for the young player, and Trae could be the next superstar to request a trade. This would be crazy before the start of the season, but right now, many people around the league believe is highly likely.

Rival executives in attendance at the NBA’s annual G League Winter Showcase are of the belief that Atlanta Hawks star point guard Trae Young could be the next player on a rookie max extension to request a trade if the team doesn’t make inroads come postseason time.

Just when the Hawks made a big trade and brought Dejounte Murray to create a terrific backcourt with Trae, the No. 1 option might be heading out of Atlanta. Of course, the Hawks will try to fix this situation, but as things stand right now, not even the connections he has within the team will be enough to keep him on board.
