NBA Fans Reacted To Anthony Edwards Dunking Over Alperen Sengun Twice In The Same Game: “This Is Too Brutal”

The NBA is at its most exciting when some high-flying players are on the floor. It’s epic to watch someone swish in a deep 3 or cross someone over and then bury a jumper, but the dunk is still the most spectacular play in basketball. And when a defender goes up to try and block it and ends up on a poster, well, it doesn’t get better than that.

Anthony Edwards is an explosive dunker; he’s put people on posters before. He famously attacked Rudy Gobert last season, a player he’s now teammates with. However, this season, the man to get a taste of Edwards’ penchant for doing something spectacular was Alperen Sengun. The Timberwolves played the Rockets on Saturday night, and during the first half, Edwards got up and destroyed Sengun.

Just this dunk would have been one thing, but Ant is a bad man. In the second half, he saw his opportunity once more, and on a different play, absolutely baptized Sengun once again.

This is downright disrespectful behavior from Edwards, even though Sengun should be commended for not backing out of the challenge after being dunked on once. One poster in a game is one thing, but the same player doing it to another player twice is almost painful, and NBA fans had a lot to say about it.

NBA Fans Couldn’t Believe How Badly Anthony Edwards Destroyed Alperen Sengun

There have been some spectacular dunks recently; both Aaron Gordon and Ja Morant have made their entries for the proverbial Dunk of the Year contest. Anthony Edwards submitted two in the same game, both on Sengun, and fans on Reddit couldn’t quite believe it.

“What did Alperen Sengun do to Anthony Edwards!?”

“This is too brutal, I’m sorry.”

“Man Anthony Edwards is a bad, bad boy.”

“Credit to Alperen. After the poster, he still wanted to challenge that. If I’m a Rockets fan, I’m proud of him.”

“It’s just sad he had to die twice in one lifetime.”

“This is officially a war crime.”

“Hide your kids! Hide your wife! Hide your Senguns!”

“Antman gone quantum tonight.”

“Ant using Sengun as a stand-in for all the people that say he not an All-Star.”

“If Anthony Edwards says anything nice about you, he is coming for your head.”

Anthony Edwards didn’t just get the posters, he dropped a massive 44 points with 3 steals and 6 rebounds while getting the win for the Timberwolves. He needs to show more of this as the Wolves try to salvage their season, and for now, it seems like he’s in the mood to do this.
