The Los Angeles Lakers have had many ups and downs this season, exchanging big wins with surprising losses, but still trying to compete to at least make it to the play-in tournament this season. The Purple and Gold are trying to survive without Anthony Davis on the court, and after two big wins against the Memphis Grizzlies and Portland Trail Blazers, they appear to be on the right track.

Even though they’re still showing a good level against some top teams, the trade talks don’t stop. This team has been urged to make a move before the upcoming trade deadline, and many names have been mentioned among their potential candidates.

Some of their former players could also find their way back to Los Angeles, including Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Clarkson. Neither player wants to stay on their current teams, as Kuz is set to leave the Washington Wizards and Jordan Clarkson reportedly rejected an extension offer from the Utah Jazz.

Los Angeles Lakers Urged To Reunite With Two Former Players

In recent hours, Basketball Forever’s Instagram page pitched the idea of the Purple and Gold landing both Kuzma and Clarkson as they are on their way out of their respective teams.

This idea sparked a lot of reactions from fans, with some agreeing that the Lakers would benefit a lot from them, while others criticized the team for even thinking about trading for two players they had on the roster a couple of seasons ago.

Begging to get back players they GAVE away smh

Clarkson ain’t leavin

Lakers ruin players, trade them away, they perform way better , then they want them back

No point for kuzma to go back it’s a lose lose he’s already having peak seasons in WSH without the slander if he goes back it’ll be just like before

Brogdon + Kuzma

Yeah naw lakers aren’t gonna do that

Both of their game elevated that might be a good move

not kuzma man. come to phx

We winning the championship if this happens

Get Lonzo back too lol

If they let them play they roles ? Yes. If not, I’m good. Clarkson is basically a iso jr smith/ lou williams type of player. He plays loose, he’s not a corner wait for LeBron to pass you the ball type of player. He needs to move around & kuz needs to move around also. Don’t trade for players just to be stiff and have people call them trash and can’t play

Kuzma doesn’t play well with LeBron. LeBron stifles his production. Westbrook would need to go. Lakers have no worthwhile assets for Clarkson. They’d have to come up off them 1st round picks, which they’ve been reluctant to do. Lakers have very little leverage to do anything.

Reunion

I remember when Clarkson and Kuzma were classified as ‘scrubs’ alongside Lebron.

Probably not gonna happen

Lakers got no pieces

we’re not getting anyone unfortunately

The respect that Lakers didn’t show for Kuz, Wizards are doing. Unfortunately my Lakers are known for fking every young player just to fulfill some stupid egos

U think pelinka and Jeanie have the brain cells to do this?

This will be a championship contender team but it won’t happen anytime soon.

The Lakers remain a hot topic around the league, especially when it comes to trade rumors. All the rumors will continue to arrive, at least until next month, and we’ll see if they finally make a decision on what to do with their roster. Some say they will play out their season with their current squad, but anything could happen in the NBA, especially with this team.
