Nikola Jokic has been one of the best players in the NBA for the past couple of seasons. Playing for the Denver Nuggets, Jokic has made his own place in the league with a very unorthodox style for a center. While the league has seen centers like Shaquille O’Neal, who were physical specimens in their prime, ‘the Joker’ has made his name because of his offensive acumen and his incredible playmaking skills.
He might not be the most athletic big man in the league and might lack the shot-blocking skills of a traditional center, but the overall game that Jokic has is perhaps the biggest asset he brings to any team.
The league certainly has recognized the Serbian’s talents, with him winning two consecutive MVP trophies. His latest MVP campaign was perhaps one of the most impressive seasons by a player as he led the Nuggets in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks, propelling them to a sixth-place finish in the Western Conference standings.
Given how impressive he has been, Jokic deservedly was rewarded with the richest contract in the NBA ever, a 5-year contract extension worth a whopping $260 million. It seems that Jokic is pretty satisfied after securing the bag, as recently, a video of the Serbian surfaced online where he was seen dancing.
In a viral post, a fan posted a video of the 4-time All-Star dancing around a fireplace in his hometown.

While Jokic will be happy that he secured the bag, he will be happier to know that two of his co-stars, Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr., are scheduled to return next season as well. The reigning MVP has already shown what he is capable of, leading the team to consecutive playoff berths.
But the lack of a supporting cast has always hindered Jokic and the Nuggets in the playoffs. The return of Murray and Porter Jr., though, might be a game-changer for them. If the two can stay fit alongside Jokic, the Nuggets will be a scary team to play against and may finally become contenders in the Western Conference.
