Following his game-saving block on LeBron James on Wednesday, Patrick Beverley did not mince words to the media about the apparent chip on his shoulder when it comes to LeBron James.
According to the L.A. Clippers guard, he was cut by Miami shortly after James' arrival, and will never forget it.
He was drafted 42nd overall in the 2009 Draft, And though he was traded to Miami by the Lakers shortly after, he never once played a single game for them. He ended up in Houston years later, where he made his NBA debut.
Since then, while Beverley hasn't been a superstar, he's been more than valuable to his teams over the years, with defense, grit, and unstoppable motor to win. Now with the Clippers, his matchup against Bron, whom he was let go for, and the Lakers, the team that initially traded him, is about much more than X's and O's.
