It’s not a secret that Paul Pierce is one of LeBron’s biggest rivals. The Boston Celtics icon went at it with the King for a big part of his career, starring in big duels against the now 4-time NBA champion.

Some say Pierce and his Boston Celtics forced LeBron to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers for the first time and create a superteam on the Miami Heat with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. Over the years, this rivalry got bigger, and LeBron dominated the second part of it, leaving no chance to Pierce to win another championship.

We’ve learned more details about this in recent times, including the reason why these two never liked each other and more. Pierce has changed his tone when talking about LeBron and recently even claimed that they brought out the best of each other in a very honest discussion.

Paul Pierce Has Surprise Praise For Former Archrival LeBron James

That wasn’t the best of it, as Pierce keeps praising Bron, who he once said wasn’t a top 5 player of all time. The former small forward, just like former teammate Kevin Garnett, was in awe of LeBron’s prowess against the Atlanta Hawks. After the King went for 47 against the Hawks, Pierce dedicated some words to him on social media.

The most interesting part about it is that he called LeBron the ‘GOAT,’ which was something unthinkable two years ago.

“LB defying Father Time,” Pierce said before using the hashtag #Goatshit.

It’s unclear if Pierce was hacked or if he was under the influence of some substance when he said this, but it was a shock for many fans. With the history they have together, it’s really weird to see the Truth saying nice things about LeBron, let alone calling him the greatest player of all time.

James’ incredible performances are even leaving those who saw him at his lowest without arguments against his GOAT case. Last week, Dirk Nowitzki had huge praise for him, and now Pierce jumps on that train, which is really crazy to see.
