Skip Bayless, and Shannon Sharpe formed quite the pair when they came together to co-host the sports talk show “Undisputed” on Fox Sports. The two had great chemistry, and while things were going great, some cracks have seemingly developed in recent times.

They got into a particularly heated exchange last month, in which they traded personal shots. Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal mocked them for it, but Sharpe and Bayless put the incident behind them and got back to work. Bayless tends to always find himself in trouble for the things he says, though, and he crossed a line many felt he shouldn’t have during an NFL game.

Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin had collapsed during their Monday night game against the Cincinnati Bengals due to what was later revealed to be a cardiac arrest, with all the players on the field being visibly shaken by the incident. While the world prayed for his well-being, a Tweet sent out by Bayless was seen as incredibly tactless by the media, fans, and especially athletes, as he wondered about what would happen to the game.

It can perhaps be seen as more of a very poorly worded Tweet, as he does indicate at the end that the game becomes irrelevant because of a situation like this. Regardless, it seems his co-host Sharpe also took offense to the Tweet, with TMZ reporting that he skipped Tuesday’s show because of it.

via TMZ:

“Skip Bayless hosted Tuesday morning’s episode of ‘Undisputed’ alone, without Shannon Sharpe, and it was no accident … we’re told the Hall of Famer was upset with the opinionated TV host’s controversial tweet sent minutes after Damar Hamlin’s heart stopped during MNF.”

“And, TMZ Sports is told the network — which wants Sharpe back as soon as possible — doesn’t know if he will return to work on Wednesday.”

“Some speculated Shannon could’ve simply had the day off, but our sources tell us that’s not the case — this was a direct reaction to Bayless’ tweet.”

There have been growing calls for Bayless to be suspended and many have even called for him to be fired. It remains to be seen if Fox Sports decides to part ways with him, as he is one of the bigger names on their network.

Skip Bayless Says He Is A Fan Of LeBron James

Bayless really became one of the biggest names in the sports talk show world because he has always been one of the biggest critics of LeBron James. He has called LeBron out numerous times this season, too, with one of the recent ones coming when he missed a game-winner against the Boston Celtics.

With all the backlash coming his way, the last thing Bayless might have wanted to do was take shots at James, so he was full of praise for him on Tuesday’s show. It might be that with cancel culture very much in effect now, he wanted to get back on the good side of the public, but we can’t be sure. Whatever the case, Bayless finds himself in a lot of trouble, and it won’t be easy for him to get past this.
