Shaquille O’Neal Drops New Freestyle In Honor Of Kobe Bryant

Shaquille O’Neal has repeatedly expressed his sadness and disbelief by the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant, his most iconic – and beloved – teammate.

Bryant and O’Neal went back and forth over and over throughout their careers. They didn’t always get along, but they always found a way to make things work, winning three NBA Championships.

And now that they were closer than ever, the Black Mamba’s passing took a huge toll in the Big Diesel, as per his words.

So 24 days after Kobe’s accident, Shaquille O’Neal dropped a new freestyle to honor his ‘little brother’, talking about how much he misses him, how the league is different without him and how they were the best one-two punch ever:

“Fuck the beef man, I’m just being real with ya. Kobe Bryant rest in power, man I fuckin miss ya. I hate watchin’ these ballers they little soft suckas, wish you was still playin, dunkin on these mothafuckas.

Who realer than me? Realer than he? You can say Magic and Kareem or Mike and Scottie P, we was like Puff and B.I.G. We was like Snoop and D.R.E, you can’t say Kob without sayin me.

Fourth quarter, down by two. I’ma miss every free throw, I’ma give that shit to you. They know one-two punch, with two stones they kill us. One Black Mamba and one black gorilla,” says the song.

Certainly, you can’t talk about Kobe without mentioning Shaq or vice versa. They were the face of the league for years and completely dominated their opposition in both ends of the court.

Eventually, they couldn’t coexist in a locker room because of their personalities, but everybody feels like they could’ve won three or four more Championships had they stayed together.

Kobe Bryant’s death continues to inspire people all over the world to be the best version of themselves, to express their feelings and reach out to their close ones, and this heartfelt freestyle is yet another example of how much Kobe meant to Shaq, basketball and the world.
