Shaquille O'Neal Once Mocked Charles Barkley For His Acting In Space Jam: "I Thought Kazaam Was Bad, Oh That Was Terrible"

Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal have the best dynamic on Inside the NBA. The two are must-watch television and while things can get a bit heated at times, more often than not, it's all in good fun. One such hilarious incident took place when reports first started to surface about 'Space Jam 2' potentially being in the works.

One of the NBA players to feature in the original 'Space Jam' was, of course, Sir Charles and the crew decided to have some fun at his expense by replaying some of his scenes from the movie. Shaq, in particular, couldn't hold back his laughter at Barkley's acting and he joked that he thought 'Kazaam' was bad, but it's nothing compared to this.

For those who don't know, 'Kazaam' was released in 1996 with Shaq in the lead role and it wasn't a success to put it lightly. O'Neal later remarked he took the role purely for the money, as it was too much cash to pass up on early in his playing career. The movie collected just $18.9 million at the box office to a $20 million budget and it's safe to say things didn't work out as the parties involved would have hoped.

Space Jam, on the other hand, for all its shortcomings, was a box office hit as it brought in over $250 million. Barkley's acting may not have been up to par, but we doubt Chuck cares too much about that. It was a nice light-hearted segment on the show, which led to a lot of laughs as usual and the great thing about Barkley is that he can take a joke aimed at him.

He's now enjoying his off-season after the Western Conference Finals, but Barkley did make an appearance on the "Dan Patrick Show" to flame some television personalities and talk some basketball. We doubt Chuck shows up a lot the rest of the way on our screens, as he enjoys some time off and all we can do now is wait for next season for Inside the NBA on TNT.
