The Phoenix Suns started this season looking ready to make a lot of noise after another disappointing exit from the 2022 NBA playoffs. In the beginning, they played really well, taking over the West and sitting atop the standings until injuries and inconsistency showed up.

Before beating the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, the Suns had lost six straight games, which already had set the alarms within the franchise. Devin Booker is out, Chris Paul too, and Deandre Ayton is also dealing with an ankle injury which prevented him from playing on Tuesday.

All these injuries and the lack of consistency have led people to blast the Suns, who played bad even with their best players on the court. A former player, Shaquille O’Neal, recently sent a big message to them, talking about their struggles amid their losing skid.

Shaq tried to find a reason why the Suns are playing so bad and losing games this consistently, implying that something is off with the team and they need to find the solution to whatever that is.

“Right now, they are not a championship contender. The difference between them and Golden State is that the Warriors are experimenting and teaching at the same time. Experimenting by ‘we’re gonna play all you young players’ but don’t forget they got the blueprint on how to win a championship. When it comes time for the playoffs, those young guys will have a better experience and all you need is one or two guys to lead and they have that. They know exactly what they’re doing. Phoenix, I don’t know much about them. I’m scared for them. Hopefully, they get it together, but there’s something going on.”

Devin Booker has been active on social media trying to inspire himself and his teammates, but so far, nothing has changed. Perhaps this win against the Warriors can help them turn things around, but with their Big 3 out of action, the job will be harder to carry out.
