Skip Bayless Responds To Damian Lillard: ‘He Sometimes Speaks As If He’s LeBron James’

1 Min Read

Damian Lillard and FOX Sports analyst Skip Bayless headline the most recent “player vs. media” rivalry. Dating back weeks, everything started when Skip questioned what made Damian Lillard qualified to speak as though he was on the same level as some of the NBA’s biggest names (LeBron James, Kevin Durant, etc.)

Needless to say, Dame took it to heart and when Skip continued to criticize him during this Orlando bubble stretch, he fired back by citing a conversation he had in which he claims Skip was “backpedaling.”

Skip has since responded back to Dame, seemingly doubling-down on his take that he shouldn’t speak a though he’s one of the NBA’s premier players.

While Dame is not on the level of LeBron, and doesn’t have nearly the same level of influence, he’s got the right to speak his mind just like any other player.

Unlike a lot of players, though, he’s usually able to back up his words with his performance on the court. And although his resume is lacking in championships, he has certainly proved he is able to step up when it counts most and that’s got to count for something.
