After wins by the Grizzlies and Suns, it’s official: the San Antonio Spurs have been eliminated from postseason contention.

After decades of glory and success, their 22-playoff streak has come to an end, and reactions surfaced from all over the internet.

The last time the Spurs didn’t make the playoffs, it was during the 1996-97 season. It’s truly unbelievable.

Obviously, the lass marks the end of an era for the Spurs. And, with no clear direction for their future, nobody really knows what will happen to them in the weeks and months to come.

Is this the end of Popovich’s coaching career? Will San Antonio trade their veterans and initiate a rebuild? Things are going to change for the Spurs and this could be the start of a clean slate for them.

Regardless, we shouldn’t be quick to forget what they’ve been able to accomplish all these years.
