The relationship between Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant has been under the microscope for a few years now. Durant’s arrival in Golden State in 2016 shook the NBA to its core, and for three seasons, they were the favorites by a fair bit to win it all.

It was clear by Durant’s third season with the team, however, that it would be his last with the Warriors. While a lot of it probably had to do with tensions between Durant and Draymond Green, his relationship with Curry wasn’t the greatest either. KD ended up leaving for the Brooklyn Nets in 2019, and both men have since played down that talk, with Curry previously stating that he loves Durant. With the Golden State Warriors in New York to take on the Knicks, Curry decided to head over to a dinner party organized by Durant, and the two had a good time.

Stephen Curry attended former Golden State Warriors teammate Kevin Durant’s star-studded dinner party on Sunday.

The Brooklyn Nets player and his longtime manager, Rich Kleiman, hosted a Boardroom holiday dinner at The Nines in New York City where Curry showed face, an insider exclusively reveals to Page Six.

“Both Kevin and Steph embraced and got to chat and catch up,” the source says, adding, “They were very happy seeing each other and had some quiet alone time too.”

Curry is out of action with a shoulder injury, so he had plenty of time on his hands to make an appearance here. The Warriors got demolished by the Knicks in his absence, and while they are trying to navigate through some rough waters, Durant’s Nets are surging.

Kevin Durant And The Nets Are On A Roll

The 2022-23 Nets season seemed set to be a total disaster after all the turmoil at the start of the campaign. Steve Nash was relieved of his duties as head coach, while Kyrie Irving was suspended by the team for putting out a link about a film that has been described as being antisemitic.

The Nets have put all of that behind them now and are one of the in-form teams in the league. They have won 10 of their last 11 games and are now the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 19-12 record. Durant has been magnificent in this stretch and is getting some MVP buzz, thanks to it. No one would have seen this turn of events after that start, and the Nets deserve credit for turning things around.
