During the mid-2010s, the Golden State Warriors were a notch above the rest of the league. Apart from nurturing their young players like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green to legit superstars, they also added Kevin Durant to the mix.

At the time, the entire world was shocked to see KD joining the Warriors and truly disrupting the power scale of the entire league. Most were aware that there was hardly any team that could stop the Dubs in their tracks.

However, the only thing that could stop them was their own ego. Unfortunately, that is what happened when a feud brewed between Durant and Green. It is a well-known fact that Draymond is someone who has no filter when it comes to giving his teammates an earful when they are wrong.

For Green, it doesn’t matter whether the person in front of him is a role player or a superstar like Kevin Durant. So after the feud between the two players, it became obvious to many that Durant might not re-sign with the Warriors and that is what happened.

Speaking of the feud, Warriors superstar Stephen Curry has hardly mentioned it in any interviews. But that changed recently as he revealed the impact of that altercation.

Via EssentiallySports:

“That moment was probably the one where it’s clear that it isn’t a foregone conclusion that he’ll be back next year.”

What Steph doubted became a reality the following offseason as KD decided to take his talents to the Brooklyn Nets.

Durant’s departure led to the end of an unarguably one of the most dominant dynasties that the league ever saw. Many might wonder what if Green and Durant never got into that heated exchange.

If that feud had never taken place, the Dubs might have won a few more titles and continued their reign of dominance in the entire league.
