The Houston Rockets are a team that is currently rebuilding, and they were in the lottery this year. While they are not a playoff team right now, they do have some young players that could potentially develop into fantastic players in the future, such as Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr.

The draft lottery this year benefited the Houston Rockets, as they got the No. 3 pick. It has recently been announced that they would be selecting Jabari Smith Jr. with that pick, and there’s no doubt that he could potentially change the entire direction of their franchise.

Jabari Smith Jr. is a big forward with an elite jump shot, and there’s no denying his talent on the perimeter. He could potentially be a great scorer in the NBA if he develops correctly, and he also has defensive upside due to his size and length. There’s a lot to like about Jabari Smith Jr’s game, but only time will tell if he was the right choice for the Houston Rockets.

Hopefully, Jabari Smith Jr. becomes that superstar he’s expected to be for the Houston Rockets. There’s no doubt that talent is what wins in the NBA, and if Smith Jr. becomes that top-tier player in the future, the Houston Rockets will be a playoff team once again in no time.
