Video: Luka Doncic Ruthlessly Nutmegs Defender And Finishes Play With No-Look Lob Assist

Luka Doncic

Luka Doncic is one of the best players in the league today, and there's no doubt that he's one of the top superstars in the NBA. He had a fantastic year with the Dallas Mavericks and managed to lead the team to the Western Conference Finals.

During his short time in the league, Luka Doncic has already made a name for himself as one of the most skilled players in the league. Tracy McGrady once claimed that Luka Doncic is "not the fastest" player on the court, but that his "skill level is off the charts".

“Luka is pretty damn good. I love watching Luka because Luka is not the fastest, he’s not the quickest, he can’t jump over a dollar but skill-wise, his skill level is off the charts, he knows how to control the pace of the game, he knows how to create space and get his shot off anybody whether it’s somebody that’s bigger-stronger, quicker than him. He just knows how to play the game and control the pace.”

Luka Doncic is definitely an elite offensive player, and it is crazy that he is able to dominate the game based on skill and game knowledge alone. He could potentially become even better in the future.

Luka Doncic Nutmegged A Defender During Slovenia - Hungary Game

We often see Luka Doncic have a bit of flair in his game due to how skilled he is, and he frequently embarrasses the defender that is guarding him. It seems as though that has happened today.

During the recent EuroBasket game between Slovenia and Hungary, Luka Doncic produced an incredible highlight. A video of Doncic nutmegging a Hungarian defender went viral on Twitter, and the play finished with Luka Doncic making a no-look lob assist to his teammate.

There is no question that this play illustrates the way Luka Doncic is constantly able to destroy defenders. Luka Doncic ended up with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists at the end of the game. It is clear that he was dominant despite only playing a bit more than 19 minutes.

Slovenia will face Bosnia and Herzegovina in their next game at EuroBasket, and they should in theory be able to win that game with Luka Doncic suiting up for them. Hopefully, we see Luka Doncic make a deep run with his team, and they have won both of the games that they have played so far.
