Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. (AKA Snoop Dogg) is widely recognized around the world for his influence on music and culture.  As one of the greatest rappers to ever exist, Snoop has found unprecedented success in the craft.

In another life, however, the hip-hop legend may have enjoyed a nice career in the NBA. Amazingly, Snoop is 6’4″ and is an avid hooper fan. He obviously doesn’t have the skills required to make the league, but he’s certainly a lot closer now, even at 51 years old, than most of us ordinary folks will ever be.

This weekend, for example, a video of Snoop went viral that featured him jumping up to drop a smooth one-handed dunk.

Snoop was all smiles after the slam, and he was clearly feeling good about his game. If only he could say the same about his Lakers…

Snoop Dogg Isn’t Happy With The Lakers’ Current Situation

Snoop, like most Lakers fans, isn’t feeling great about the state of the team right now. Sadly, it seems Rob Pelinka and Jeanie Buss still need to see more before they give up their last remaining picks.

Amid this bad situation, the team appears to be focused on the future and nothing else, and they will wait until next season to see what they can do with the roster and bring the best-supporting cast for Anthony Davis and LeBron James. If somebody thought they would make a trade involving these two picks, they were wrong.

“They obviously are not willing to trade the picks,” Howard Beck reported, via Lakers Daily. “And I’ve heard rumblings — and they’re only rumblings, so I don’t want people to go too far with this or go crazy with the aggregation — but a couple people around the league have told me in recent weeks that they believe that the front office has essentially been told not to trade the picks. That they’re guarding those.”

Only time will tell how all of this plays out for the Lakeshow, but Snoop Dogg himself may have to join the squad for them to keep stacking up wins here in January.

Either way, if the Lakers don’t make moves soon, this could turn into another lost season for the beloved franchise.
