NBA Rumors: Brooklyn Nets Have Engaged In Talks With Jamal Crawford

2 Min Read

Jamal Crawford got another opportunity in the NBA in the bubble when he signed with the Brooklyn Nets. After the season was over, Crawford once again became a free agent but it seems like he could be crossing paths with the Nets once again, according to rumors. Crawford appears to be a good option to replace injured Spencer Dinwiddie and the Nets have already made contact with the player.

According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, the Nets and the players are in active talks right now, looking to get a done deal for a reunion at the Barclays Center. Crawford only played one game in the bubble a couple of months ago and this time he could get his revenge playing alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

“But a guy who was supposed to be on this roster, and that’s Jamal Crawford,” Haynes recently said on his podcast. “Jamal had– what, he had some– he had a hamstring injury during the bubble. And that kind of hampered what he was able to do in the offseason. But he’s somebody that they’re still talking to, having conversations.”

Crawford is 40 years old right now but he proved that he still got it. Before his only game with the Nets last season, he dropped 51 points with the Phoenix Suns. He won’t be posting 25-30 points every night but Crawford can be a good addition to the second unit of the team.

Brooklyn has big aspirations this season and landing a player like Crawford would be very beneficial for them.
