NBA Rumors: Chris Paul Will Probably Not Leave Phoenix Suns This Summer

2 Min Read

Chris Paul has had a terrific season with the Phoenix Suns, leading the team to the 2nd spot in the Western Conference alongside Devin Booker.

The point guard has a significant effect on every team he plays. It happened with the Hornets, Clippers, Rockets and Thunder before he did the same with the Suns. Led by the newly-named NBCA’s coach of the year Monty Williams, CP3 has once again found his place in the world.

According to reports, his impending free agency could be a big story to follow this season. But, unfortunately, this saga couldn’t be as entertaining as people imagine. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski recently said that it’s unlikely to watch Paul leaving Arizona.

“It certainly seems to me it’s hard to see him go somewhere else,” said Wojnarowski, via RealGM.

“He wanted to be there. He had to convince Phoenix a little bit that they were ready for him.”

The relationship between the so-called Point GOD and the Suns organization has proven to be very great, and neither party wants to end it. Other teams like the New York Knicks and even the Lakers could be interested in Paul’s services, but time will tell if he stays in Phoenix or tries his luck somewhere else.

He’s trying to win his first NBA championship this campaign, and if things go well for him with Booker and co., it’ll be hard to see him leaving the franchise.
