NBA Rumors: Lakers Reportedly Want Nick Young

2 Min Read

The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t made a final decision on who will replace Avery Bradley in Orlando next month. The guard decided not to join the team at the bubble location next month since he doesn’t want to risk his family of getting infected by COVID-19. Bradley won’t be part of the Lakers at Walt Disney World and now the Purple and Gold are looking for a replacement.

It was reported that JR Smith was the favorite player to replace Bradley but now more names have been added to that list of candidates. A couple of days ago, Nick Young claimed he was ‘ready’ to join the Lakers after Bradley’s news saw the light.

Well, now it looks like his wish might be granted, as the Lakers reportedly contacted Swaggy P to talk about that last roster spot they’re trying to fill. Young already played for the team through 2013-2017.

Following his departure from LA, he went to play for the Golden State Warriors, winning a championship in 2018. Young was very active on social media asking trying to persuade teams to sign him and now the Lakers have placed their attention on him.

It’s not clear what they’re going to do, though, since other players like Smith or Isaiah Thomas look like very good options for the Purple and Gold.
