Magic Johnson On LeBron James In 2016: ‘He Is Definitely On My Mt. Rushmore. He Is A Winner And We’ve Never Seen Anyone With His Skill Set’

Magic Johnson has always praised LeBron James but the Los Angeles Lakers great delivered the ultimate compliment to Bron back in 2016. That year, the Cleveland Cavaliers were trying to do something unthinkable, going back from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals. The task wasn’t easy, especially knowing their rivals, the Golden State Warriors.

After Game 6 of that dramatic series, the Cavs tied everything, forcing the series to go to a 7th game. In that game, Bron scored 41 points for the second consecutive game with 11 rebounds and 8 assists. The King was on a mission and he wasn’t going to lose.

Johnson was as impressed as anybody after that demonstration, and he went to the next level, putting LeBron as one of the greatest players of all time.

“I can’t deny LeBron James, he’s definitely on my Mt. Rushmore. He’s a winner and we’ve never seen anybody with his all around skill set,” he tweeted after that Game 6.

LeBron was ready to take it all that season and he wasn’t letting anybody stand in his way to the title. Johnson knew that and he put the King as one of the best four players in NBA history.

Magic has recently stated he still thinks Michael Jordan is the GOAT of basketball, but there is no doubt that he has LeBron as part of the greatest this game has ever seen.
