NBA Scout On Kyle Kuzma: “He’s Playing The Best Basketball Of His Career…”

1 Min Read

If you ask many, Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma hasn’t lived up to expectations so far in his young career. And while plenty of folks believe he has been a disappointment, there are those who feel that he’s playing some of the best ball of his life right now.

“Kuzma’s playing the best basketball of his career – helping the Lakers win in a bunch of different ways on a pretty consistent basis. His extension this offseason, in the eyes of rival scouts, is looking like a bargain.”

For perhaps the first time since his arrival, Kuz appears to be playing freely. In his fourth year, after winning the title, Kuz is able to do his thing in a pressure-free environment — and his play has reflected that.

This season, he’s putting up 11.5 points, 6.7 rebounds per game on 44% shooting.

With Anthony Davis still working his way back from injury, it’s up to Kuz to carry the load and do what he can to help his team win. So far, he has been stepping up to the plate.
