NBA Rumors: Bulls And Warriors Are Interested In Lonzo Ball

2 Min Read

Amid a rough start for the New Orleans Pelicans, 23-year-old Lonzo Ball could be used as a bargaining chip in his team’s efforts to fix their roster.

As a premier playmaker, and a top defender, Ball is a guy that will generate much interest on the trade market. In a report by ESPN, the Bulls and Warriors are two of the latest teams to be described as “interested” in the young point guard.

As a young team on the rise, the Bulls have nothing to lose by bringing in the eldest Ball son. Despite their talented roster (Zach LaVine, Coby White, Lauri Markkanen), the Bulls still have a long way to go if they want to make the playoffs in the East. Having Zo bolsters their defense and should make it easier for LaVine to score.

In Golden State, the Warriors are a team looking to stay competitive. And while the combined powers of Steph Curry and Draymond Green certainly gives them a chance, bolstering their depth with Ball could be another way to ensure they get the results they want.

Needless to say, Zo has a skillset that many teams see value in. The Warriors and Pelicans are only two teams in a long list of interested parties, that includes the Knicks, Raptors, Mavericks, Clippers, and Magic.

The Pelicans are also talking to teams about JJ Redick.

It will be interesting to see where they end up and what the Pelicans look like by the end of the trade deadline.
