NBA Rumors: Golden State Warriors Are Shopping Kelly Oubre Jr.

2 Min Read

The Golden State Warriors are doing whatever they can to stay competitive in the Western Conference this season. Sans Klay Thompson, they may be looking to the trade market to bring in some last-minute reinforcements.

And, according to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, Kelly Oubre Jr. may be the guy they use to bring in the necessary pieces.

“The Warriors are shopping Kelly Oubre Jr., who will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.”

Oubre started off the season in a pretty bad way, struggling to hit shots for at least the first few weeks.

Now, though, he has come out of his slump to become a productive scorer and defender This season, he’s averaging 14.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game on 43% shooting.

No doubt, he will have his fair share of suitors on the deadline, and it will be up to the Warriors to determine which package will best suit their needs. Standing ninth in the West, and just 4-6 in their last 10 games, the Dubs clearly need a spark if they want to keep their playoff streak alive.

It will be interesting to see what they decide to do, and if it’s enough to get the team where it wants to be.
