NBA Rumors: Warriors Could Land Kyle Kuzma For Draymond Green And Alec Burks

2 Min Read

With the trade deadline fastly approaching a number of teams will be gauging the market in pursuit of the NBA’s best assets.

Naturally, the Warriors are among that group and don’t have much more to lose as far as this season goes. With the means and pieces to get a deal done, the Warriors’ forward-thinking has them in major contention to make a big deadline-day trade.

The name Kyle Kuzma has suddenly surfaced as a possible target for them, and it’s easy to see why.

As a young, talented, scoring wing on a cheap contract, he has a lot to offer the Dubs. Unfortunately, trading for him would likely require a major package in return.

Something like Draymond Green and Alec Burks.

With those two pieces, the Lakers get a bit of everything. In Draymond, they get defense, playmaking, and intensity on the wing. In Burks, they acquire the backup point guard they have been looking for all season long.

In return, the Lakers would give up Kuzma and Danny Green to Golden State. In Kuz, they get a young offensive star on a cheap deal to pair with their stellar backcourt duo. With Green, they can either bring him off the bench for shooting and perimeter defense or flip him for additional assets later.

It’s a long shot, but don’t expect the Lakers to stay closed-minded when it comes to dealing Kuzma.

Earlier, it was reported that the Lakers would only give him up for a monster offer. One has to think a deal involving Draymond Green would classify as just that.
