NBA Rumors: Paul George To Nets, James Harden To LA Clippers In Proposed Three-Way Trade With Rockets

2 Min Read

With the 2019-20 NBA season over, trade rumors and speculation have run rampant online, with pretty much every star player on most teams being included in whispers.

In one of the more spectacular moves, suggested by Ryan Snellings of Fansided’s Clipperholics, he proposed a three-team trade that could see two of the game’s best players change jerseys next season.

“While George is obviously the better defender of the two, Harden’s offensive game is unmatched. He also adds something the Clippers desperately need – playmaking. With his ability to create offense both for himself and others, the Clippers would be extremely tough to guard. Kawhi would be the best player that Harden has ever played with outside of maybe Kevin Durant (but he wasn’t at his peak with Harden as a teammate).”

The proposed deal would see the Rockets land several young pieces in Spencer Dinwiddie, Caris LeVert, Jarrett Allen, and Landry Shamet to pair alongside multiple draft picks. If they find similar deals for Westbrook, Gordon, and Robert Covington, they should be set for a prosperous rebuild.

The Nets would finally have their big three with Paul George to join Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Despite questions about how the personalities would mix, the talent alone is enough for Brooklyn to make a significant splash.

The Clippers, meanwhile, would add offensive juggernaut James Harden to pair alongside Kawhi Leonard — a 2x Finals MVP.

For all three teams, it gets them a step closer to meeting their goals and would shake up the hierarchy in the West and East for years to come.
