The Utah Jazz were beaten in the first round by the Dallas Mavericks this year, and it’s clear that the Rudy Gobert-Donovan Mitchell partnership has run its course. The Utah Jazz have already traded Rudy Gobert, and it looks as though they are willing to go through with a potential rebuild.

A recent report by Adrian Wojnarowski revealed that the Utah Jazz have started to take trade offers for Donovan Mitchell. It is quite likely that there will be a lot of interest in Donovan Mitchell from around the league.

After previously shutting down inquiries on moving All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell, rival teams say the Utah Jazz are showing a willingness to listen on possible trade scenarios, sources tell ESPN.

The asking price appears to be steep, but in the wake of Utah’s recent Rudy Gobert blockbuster deal to Minnesota, the Jazz are no longer simply dismissing calls on Mitchell, sources said.

It seems as though the New York Knicks are a team that will try to acquire Donovan Mitchell. Tony Jones of The Athletic has recently revealed that he expects the Knicks to “quickly” submit a trade offer for Donovan Mitchell, though he added that the “bar” for a Donovan Mitchell trade is “sky high”.

The New York Knicks are a team that has made a lot of moves this offseason, most notably signing Jalen Brunson in free agency. Trading for Donovan Mitchell would also be a solid move on their part, and he is still young enough to fit with the rest of their team.

There is no doubt that the New York Knicks will have competition for Donovan Mitchell, and the Miami Heat are a team that is frequently connected to the shooting guard. The Knicks will definitely be able to put together an elite package for Mitchell, though, and we’ll see if they are able to land him.
