Donovan Mitchell is one of the best young shooting guards in the league, and he has been the No. 1 offensive option for the Utah Jazz over the last few seasons. He averaged 25.9 PPG, 4.2 RPG, and 5.3 APG for the team over the 2021-22 season.

Despite his talent, it seems there is a chance that Donovan Mitchell will get traded. NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski has recently revealed that the Jazz are showing “a willingness to listen” when approached with “possible trade scenarios” involving Donovan Mitchell.

After previously shutting down inquiries on moving All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell, rival teams say the Utah Jazz are showing a willingness to listen on possible trade scenarios, sources tell ESPN.

The asking price appears to be steep, but in the wake of Utah’s recent Rudy Gobert blockbuster deal to Minnesota, the Jazz are no longer simply dismissing calls on Mitchell, sources said.

In recent memory, Donovan Mitchell has most commonly been linked with the Miami Heat. A report revealed that the Miami Heat have already submitted a trade offer for Mitchell, but the Jazz reportedly “found that offer insufficient”.

“According to a league source, one offer came from Miami even before the Gobert trade was finalized. The Jazz, though, found that offer insufficient. In addition, Miami’s win-now roster has limited picks and young players to trade.”

There’s no doubt that a lot of franchises would love to have Donovan Mitchell on their roster. Mitchell will likely thrive on a franchise that has other offensive stars that can take some of the defense’s attention away from him.

Any team that wants to acquire Donovan Mitchell will likely have to give up a huge trade package for him. He is still young and only entering his prime. Donovan Mitchell is a difference-maker for any team, and we’ll see where he ends up.
