NBA Rumors: Clippers Have Interest In Russell Westbrook

2 Min Read

Coming off a highly disappointing campaign, the Los Angeles Clippers entered this offseason with a mission avenge the defeat and embarrassment they suffered just a few short weeks earlier.

And while the world awaits the re-shaping of their roster, rumors have emerged of a potential target: Houston’s Russell Westbrook, who has been seen as available by much of the NBA community.

Westbrook is one of the NBA’s shining stars and a top point guard in basketball. He’s a 9x All-Star, 2x Scoring Champ, 9x All-NBA player, and 2017 NBA MVP.

But for all the accolades Westbrook holds, his career is often tagged with many criticisms, that include his recklessness with the basketball, his shooting struggles, and his inability to win with a star teammate.

Still, the Clippers seem to be considering the possibility of bringing him on. And, with Kawhi Leonard, it might be something that actually works.

In a roster that is weak at point guard and center, Russ would fill a need for LA, and provide them with a relentless scoring edge, especially around the basket.

It will be interesting to see what transpires in the weeks to come, and whether or not we will ever see Russ suit up for the Rockets again.
