NBA Rumors: Los Angeles Clippers Could Trade For Lonzo Ball

Lonzo Ball appears to be the latest name joining the list of candidates that could land in Los Angeles to play with the Clippers ahead of the trade deadline. Ball is having a very good season with the New Orleans Pelicans, proving his doubters wrong and posting very good numbers with the team that is still trying to compete in the Western Conference.

His performances haven’t been overlooked and a series of teams are reportedly interested in his services. Recently, his father LaVar Ball revealed the point guard ‘can’t stand’ New Orleans and is hoping to get traded. It seems like some teams listened to Ball and now the Clippers are reportedly ready to make a move for the former Los Angeles Lakers. According to Marc Stein, the Clips are looking for ways to land the talented player.

“The Clippers, with a well-chronicled need for a playmaking upgrade, are exploring trade routes to acquiring New Orleans’ Lonzo Ball before next Thursday’s NBA trade deadline, league sources say.

“Draft-pick limitations complicate any Clippers pursuit and would likely require a three-team (or more) construction … but they have six days to keep working the market in search of a difference-making trade.”

There is still time for them to pull off a trade for Ball. The Clippers need to improve their playmaking and Zo could be the answer to their questions. With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George struggling to lead this team in recent games, they would welcome Ball if that means reaching the next level.

The trade deadline is six days away and a lot of teams are expected to make big moves. The Clips aren’t the exception and we should be ready to see them making a splash in the next week.
