Bradley Beal has been one of the league’s best shooting guards over the last few years, well-known for his ability to score at a high volume. Currently, Bradley Beal is averaging 22.9 PPG, 3.5 RPG, and 5.2 APG for the Washington Wizards.

Even though he signed a lucrative contract with the Washington Wizards last offseason, there have been a number of trade rumors surrounding Bradley Beal. He has most notably been connected to the Los Angeles Lakers. There have been reports that have suggested that the Los Angeles Lakers are saving their picks to trade for a star of his caliber.

A recent report from Matt Moore of Action Network revealed that the Los Angeles Lakers would have to manipulate the trade market to “force Washington’s hand” and land the shooting guard. There is no doubt that this likely means that Bradley Beal would have to request a trade specifically to the Los Angeles Lakers, to drive down his value so the team would be able to trade for him.

The Los Angeles Lakers have popped up in multiple reports for the star scoring guard. That would require a typical Lakers-Esque manipulation of the market to force Washington’s hand to give him away for very little beyond Russell Westbrook’s eventually-expiring contract and their two future first-round picks in 2027 and 2029.

There is no doubt that Bradley Beal would be a perfect perimeter player to pair with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. He can play off-ball and on-ball, and his spacing and scoring gravity would greatly help their offense.

Bradley Beal Could Also Be A Good Fit On The Dallas Mavericks

Even though the Los Angeles Lakers would be a good landing spot for Bradley Beal, there are other teams that could also be a great fit for the star from a basketball perspective. Previously, JJ Redick suggested that the Dallas Mavericks could also be a good spot for the Wizards shooting guard.

“It’s just a matter of who would be available, and I like the idea of Bradley Beal a lot… It’s obviously gotta be somebody that’s comfortable playing off the ball. Sort of oscillating between on the ball and off the ball, and most stars are ball dominant… I feel like Bradley Beal has been in trade rumors.”

There’s no doubt that the Dallas Mavericks need to improve their offense around Luka Doncic, and perhaps trading for Bradley Beal would help them do so. He would definitely make them a contender on paper, and it’ll be interesting to see if the team ends up pursuing a move for him.

Hopefully, we see the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Lakers in the trade talks for Bradley Beal if he becomes available. Both teams could really use a three-level scorer like him, and we’ll see what happens in the future.
