NBA Rumors: Miami Heat Could Include Bam Adebayo In A Trade To Land Kevin Durant

There have been a number of teams mentioned as potential landing spots for the Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant ever since his trade request. But despite all the rumors, the 33-year-old is still a Nets player as of now.

Many teams have inquired about trading for him, but the Nets’ asking price has been deemed too high for most interested in welcoming the 2x NBA champion. Additionally, with the Phoenix Suns re-signing Deandre Ayton, they are essentially out of the race to trade for Kevin Durant.

Following that, the Miami Heat have become the favorites to acquire KD. For starters, KD named the Heat as one of his preferred destinations to be traded to. Additionally, as per the new rumors, the Heat have finally made up their mind about including their All-Star center Bam Adebayo in a potential trade package for KD.

Via Miami Herald:

“If you’re the Heat, you make that trade, even if you need to include [Ben] Simmons. If you have an opportunity to get a player like Kevin Durant, you do it. From my relationship with Pat Riley, I believe the Heat would make that trade [including Adebayo] if given the option. I’m not sure that would be enough for Brooklyn.”

It’s obvious the Heat are interested in a trade for Kevin Durant. They want to ensure that their cornerstone superstar Jimmy Butler has enough support to help the Heat compete for an NBA Championship next season.

It was also recently reported that the Heat are looking to acquire multiple future draft picks to entice the Nets to trade for KD. If they can manage to get 4 or 5 first-round picks along with Bam Adebayo and a few more players, the Nets might finally agree to trade away Durant.
