The Miami Heat are always making moves to improve their squad and this offseason wouldn’t be the exception, even if they have to part ways with one of their most exciting young players. The Heat had a group of talented young players last season and they played a considerable role in their run to the NBA Finals.
Tyler Herro was probably the biggest star of that group, helping Jimmy Butler and his team to be competitive through the NBA postseason.
Well, as good as he was last season, reports suggest Herro could be leaving the Heat this offseason as part of a trade with the New Orleans Pelicans. According to the Sun Sentinel’s Ira Winderman, the Heat could actually pull the trigger on this move trying to land veteran point guard Jrue Holiday.

Holiday has made available for trades by the Pelicans and the Heat are reportedly monitoring that situation, thinking of Herro as the player to send to NOLA in exchange for Holiday.
Jrue is a veteran point guard that can be a great addition to the Heat. He is one of the greatest defenders in the league and could be work very well alongside Jimmy Butler. However, it doesn’t seem like Miami will part ways with Herro just like that seeing how high they are on him. This situation is still developing and it’s unclear if Miami will actually agree to make this move.
Holiday averaged 19.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game last season.
