NBA Trade Rumors: Bucks, Nets Reportedly Interested In DeMar DeRozan

1 Min Read

With his future in doubt, 31-ear-old DeMar DeRozan has become a big talking point around the association.

Despite the possibility, he becomes a free agent this summer, two big Eastern Conference Contenders are apparently taking a vested interest in him as they attempt to strengthen their roster for a title run.

The Bucks are trying to prove to Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has the option of becoming a free agent next summer, that they are fully committed to getting the pieces they need to win. While their path to victory remains unclear, trading for a star like DeRozan is certainly a decent place to start, even with all of his offensive limitations.

In Brooklyn, it makes sense that DeMar is on their radar. Following the arrival of Kyrie and KD, the Nets have been on the hunt for a third star, and DeRozan’s skillset as a slasher would be a nice fit next to the scoring capabilities of their current star duo.

DeMar, who has a player option worth $27.7 million for the 2020/21 season, is coming off his most recent campaign with averages of 22.1 points, 5.6 assists, and 5.6 rebounds per game.
