There are times where players perform well on an individual level, but don’t necessarily fit together well in a team concept. People have often stated that about the Boston Celtics duo of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.

There have been reports that have stated that the Boston Celtics could separate Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum in the future. There are definitely elite players that the Celtics could get in return for Brown. In this article, we provide a trade scenario where Jaylen Brown gets moved for De’Aaron Fox. This trade could potentially be beneficial for both teams.

Sacramento Kings Receive: Jaylen Brown, Al Horford

Boston Celtics Receive: De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield

Sacramento Kings Get A Top-Tier Wing Player

The Sacramento Kings’ 3 guard experiment hasn’t worked out thus far this season, with the team currently having a 13-21 record and sitting at 12th in the Western Conference. Perhaps it could be time to make a trade to balance the roster positionally.

In this scenario, the Kings would send out De’Aaron Fox and Al Horford to acquire Jaylen Brown and Al Horford. This could help the Sacramento Kings on a few levels. Jaylen Brown has been the No. 2 offensive option behind Jayson Tatum on the Boston Celtics, but on the Sacramento Kings, he would be the focus of the team. Brown is averaging 22.8 PPG this season, and as the focal point on the offense, he could do even better, giving the Kings their franchise player. Al Horford would be a solid veteran for the squad, and his playoff and league experience will help them build a winning culture.

Having Jaylen Brown surrounded by solid players like Tyrese Haliburton and Davion Mitchell seems like a good foundation for success. While that team wouldn’t necessarily be a top-tier team right away, they would be competitive, and would definitely compete for the playoffs.

Boston Celtics Receive A Star Point Guard And An Elite Shooter

If the Boston Celtics were to trade Jaylen Brown, they would likely demand an All-Star caliber player in return. This trade would get them a point guard of that level in De’Aaron Fox as well as an elite shooter in Buddy Hield. The potential of getting two solid contributors for the roster while retaining important role players like Robert Williams and Marcus Smart.

De’Aaron Fox isn’t as good of a player as Jaylen Brown, particularly on the defensive end, but he is currently putting up some solid numbers: 21.0 PPG, 3.6 RPG, and 5.0 APG. Fox would be able to run the offense while providing secondary scoring behind Jayson Tatum, which would allow Tatum himself to have less responsibility on the offensive end. Buddy Hield would give the Celtics a top-tier shooter, as he is shooting 37% from the 3PT range while attempting 9.9 3PT shots a game.

Overall, this is a trade that would get the Boston Celtics a different star that would be a better fit next to franchise player Jayson Tatum. De’Aaron Fox and Jayson Tatum would be a fearsome duo that would work well together, and perhaps that would lead to better performances for the team.
