NBA Rumors: Lakers Could Land DeMar DeRozan From Spurs In Sign-And-Trade Involving Kyle Kuzma

2 Min Read

The Los Angeles Lakers are ready to make moves this offseason, and Kyle Kuzma’s name has been thrown in any rumor regarding the Californians. The purple and gold are trying to shop the forward before the start of the next season, and they could get a big player in return.

Despite all the criticism he’s received from fans in the past two years, Kuzma is considered a valuable piece around the league. This has opened the door for the Lakers to try to get something good in return. Of course, they won’t get what the Houston Rockets received for James Harden, but Kuz could help his team land a solid name.

According to Marc Stein, the Lakers have discussed a Kyle Kuzma-Buddy Hield trade with the Sacramento Kings, but the San Antonio Spurs could make a last-second move, getting a deal done to send DeMar DeRozan to Los Angeles.

The Lakers’ talks with Sacramento on a potential deal headlined by Buddy Hield and Kyle Kuzma are the most serious so far, league sources say, but San Antonio is also believed to have interest in Kuzma in possible sign-and-trade scenarios involving free agent-to-be DeMar DeRozan.

The Spurs have shown interest in Kuzma in the past, and this could be the perfect chance for them to land the young forward. As for DeRozan, he has made it clear that the goal is to win a championship at this stage of his career. Joining LeBron James and Anthony Davis will massively increase his chances of doing so.

This is an exciting situation for all parties involved, but the offseason is still young. We can see a plot twist in the next couple of hours or days.
