The Utah Jazz are reportedly shopping every single player on their roster after reports of Donovan Mitchell being traded away circulated over the last couple of days. The Jazz started to blow up their roster when they traded Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves for a large haul of players and picks.

With every player being available for trade, the contending teams in the NBA will be salivating over picking up the pieces of a playoff-tested Jazz roster. While they did fail to win a title together, they were perennial playoff contenders for half a decade.

Outside Mitchell, players like Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, and Mike Conley will definitely have suitors willing to add them to their rotations. The Jazz will try to restructure their roster with young talent on the team and will expect to ammas a massive haul of picks for all these players.

The Jazz had their best chance at a title in the 2020-21 season, when they led the league in wins and were frontrunners in a Western Conference that was extremely open. The Lakers were a play-in team, the Suns were in their first year of emergence, and the Clippers lost Kawhi Leonard to an ACL tear.

That Clippers team were the ones that eked past the Jazz despite missing their best player and stopping Utah’s best chance at making the Conference Finals.

This season, Utah failed to get past the first round, losing to a Dallas Mavericks team that missed their best player for the opening 3 games of the series. Sending Gobert away indicated that the team was looking to make changes, but they were expected to re-tool around Mitchell. This era of the Jazz has come to an abrupt end, and Utah will look towards the future and take themselves out of the playoff race in the West.
