Stephen Curry continues to prove why he’s one of the most respected leaders in the NBA, both on and off the court. During a postgame press conference following the Golden State Warriors’ 131-106 victory over the Chicago Bulls, rookie Quinten Post shared a heartwarming story about Curry’s generosity and humility

“I mean really off the court man. On the court, he’s one of the greatest to ever do it, but I’ll share a quick story, man. We came home, this is a few months ago. So I haven’t even touched the court yet. We came home from a long road trip.”

“I was up here and I think it was like 2:30 at night and we were at the airport right and I’m trying to get an Uber to go home, but the Uber service isn’t working. Everybody’s kind of leaving, I’m good.”

“Steph walks by and Steph’s like, ‘Are you good?'”

“I’m like yeah, I’m good I’ll figure it out. He’s like no what do you mean, like I’m not getting an Uber and Steph’s like are you trying to go home, I’m like yeah, I got you so at 2:30 at night maybe 2-3 o’clock, I don’t know, whatever.”

“Steph is like, I got you. And he drove me home. He made a little detour. And I mean, that just shows how he is as a person. And at that point, probably out of the 50 people that were on that airport, Steph was the last person that needed to worry about if I got home. But that’s just the person he is.”

“Great teammate, and then obviously, everything on the court speaks for itself. So I thought that was cool to share…. He probably took an extra 20 minutes on his trip. My family was staying in Redwood, so it was kind of towards him, but I don’t even think he knew that. He might have honestly gotten me home regardless.”

Stephen Curry’s leadership isn’t confined to late-night gestures. On the court, his presence continues to be pivotal for the Warriors. Against the Bulls, Curry scored 21 points, dished out 7 assists, and grabbed 4 rebounds, helping his team snap a two-game losing streak. Meanwhile, Post delivered a stellar performance, scoring 20 points, including five three-pointers, in just 20 minutes.

Post’s breakout game against the Bulls showcased his potential as a valuable piece for the Warriors. The seven-foot rookie demonstrated impressive range, going 5-for-10 from beyond the arc, and contributed with 5 rebounds and 3 assists. His ability to stretch the floor and defend effectively for his size makes him an exciting prospect for Golden State.

The bond between Curry and Post reflects the Warriors’ strong team culture, where young players are nurtured and supported. Moments like these build trust and camaraderie, essential for a team navigating the ups and downs of a grueling NBA season.

Stephen Curry’s late-night ride for Quinten Post is a testament to his character and leadership. It’s a reminder that greatness isn’t just about what happens on the court—it’s about the small, selfless acts that inspire and uplift those around you.

For the Warriors, Curry’s actions set the tone for a culture of respect, unity, and excellence. As Post continues to grow into his role, he’ll carry with him the invaluable lesson of what it means to be a true teammate, exemplified by one of the greatest players of all time.
