Bonnie Blue Shoots Her Shot At Amen Thompson, But Rockets Star Doesn’t Even Flinch

Amen Thompson is focused, and no amount of sideline flirtation is going to shake that. A recent viral moment from the Houston Rockets‘ win over the Miami Heat showed influencer and model Bonnie Blue attempting to shoot her shot courtside, but the Rockets’ rising star didn’t even blink.

As Thompson stood near the scorer’s table, ready to check back into the game, a friend of Bonnie, seated next to her, tried to get his attention. “Yo, do you want her? Yo Thompson, you want her?” the friend called out loudly, clearly hoping to provoke a reaction.

Bonnie appeared to say something as well—though the audio wasn’t clear enough to pick up her exact words—but Thompson? Ice cold. Not a glance, not a smile, not even a nod. Just locked in and ready to go to work.

For those unfamiliar, Bonnie Blue is a well-known social media personality and model, recognized for her bold style and candid content. With hundreds of thousands of followers across Instagram and TikTok, she’s no stranger to viral moments—and her sideline presence often draws attention. But this time, her spotlight was shared with a man who has made it very clear this season: he’s here for basketball.

And who can blame him?

Amen Thompson is having a breakout year. In his second NBA season, the 21-year-old guard is averaging 14.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.

He’s shooting an impressive 55.1% from the field, and his minutes have jumped to 32.5 per game across 62 appearances—matching his total from last season already. It’s a sharp leap from his rookie numbers of 9.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 22.4 minutes per game.

But it’s not just about his stats—it’s about his impact. Thompson has emerged as one of the league’s premier young defensive specialists. His length, quickness, and instincts have helped transform the Rockets into one of the stingiest perimeter defenses in the NBA.

He routinely guards the opposing team’s best wing or guard, and his motor never stops. It’s no surprise the Rockets have gone from a lottery team to a Western Conference juggernaut, currently sitting second in the West with a 47–26 record.

Thompson’s attitude was on full display in that now-viral sideline moment. Where some young players might have cracked a grin or thrown a wink, Thompson gave nothing but a stone-cold stare ahead.

The moment may have amused fans on social media, with many praising Amen for “keeping his head in the game,” but it’s also a telling snapshot of his mindset. At just 21, he’s already developed the poise and professionalism of a seasoned vet.

Bonnie Blue may have tried her luck, but Amen Thompson is committed to his grind—and right now, that grind has Houston dreaming big.
