The vibes are immaculate in Los Angeles right now following seven straight wins this season. In the latest victory, the Lakers went viral after a video captured the moment when the team celebrated James’ 50,000 career milestone.

“Way to take care of business! LeBron, congrats on 50,000 points! It only took you 22 years,” said Redick. “I thought tonight, three guys in particular gave us what we needed: Dalton, Vando, your defense in the third quarter, and then Shake, second straight game for you just being a pro and coming in there. Big time man.”

LeBron James made NBA history last night to become the first player ever to hit 50,000 career points. In 33 minutes against the Pelicans, he put up a team-high 34 points, eight rebounds, and six assists to lead his team to a convincing win.

We’ve never seen a player with his age and mileage play at this level, but James has made it an everyday thing this season as he attempts to capture one more championship with the Purple and Gold.

Coming into this campaign, LeBron was already the league’s all-time leading scorer, but he reached one of his most impressive milestones to date this week and it’s doing wonders for his legacy.

James, who is in his 22nd NBA season, has achieved amazing feats of longevity and has set a new precedent for how long players can perform at an elite level. As the king of consistency, LeBron is a source of awe for countless fans today, and the Lakers celebrate his achievements whenever they can.

The feat comes amid another historic season for James, who is averaging 24.9 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 8.5 assists per game on 51.9% shooting for the Lakers. As a 4x champion, 21x All-Star, and 20x All-NBA player, James arguably has the best GOAT case for any player besides Michael Jordan.

If James plays his cards right, his legacy could even surpass Jordan’s when it’s all said and done. For now, however, LeBron is focused on the current campaign and contributing in many ways to bring the Lakers up to their maximum potential.

The Lakers have been on a roll lately. As winners of seven straight and eight in their last 10 games, they are finally starting to play up to their potential. One of the keys to their recent success is coach Redick, who has transformed the Lakers’ identity.

Since taking over from Darvin Ham, Redick has brought out the best in the Lakers. Using his deep and extensive knowledge of game mechanics, strategies, and player communication, Redick has been effective at ensuring that all of his players are on the same page and aware of their roles on the team.

For James, even at 40 years old, he’s at the center of everything they do, and his play is the root of the Lakers’ success. Even with 50,000 points under his belt and over 22 years, LeBron is leading the way for his teammates and setting an example for all players to follow.
